"They also serve who only stand and wait." - John Milton

Remember this post?

 Guess what I got to relive today. Anyone? :gaah: :fit:

Oh, except that he bent the front of his kennel severely trying to claw his way out, broke the zip ties holding the tray in place, ripped up the towel he had to lay on, slid the tray out and ground feces into my bedroom carpet just for good measure.

I called the vet in the midst of cleaning up and asked the doc to call me tomorrow regarding some anti-anxiety meds. I can't leave the house without worrying about him freaking out and I don't know what else to do with the dog. We're doing independence training, confidence training, he's been banished from the couch and still sleeps in his kennel ... None of the traditional separation anxiety therapies are working. I pray the drugs will help at least a little, lest I break my promise to DH and kill the dog before my husband comes home. :frypan:

Perhaps Cesar Milan should be called to intervene. In the meantime, maybe the anti-anxiety meds will help you. B) If not, definitely have a glass of wine or something to calm you down from the great poo rage. I feel your pain to a small extent although my dogs never got so wound up that they tried to escape the crate. :hug

I dont have any words of wisdom for you, as my dog experiences are limited to my pound puppy in 3rd grade. Unless toddler potty training counts, in that case consider me in the trenches with you.
I hope you get some relief for the pup soon (and you!)

it seems like you may need a hug... :hug hang in there

Oh my! I honeslty don't know how I would have reacted to that!! Out of all the stuff mine has pulled, he has not tried to escape the kennel, the metal one anyway! If he did try that, there would be noe more kennel, I am sure. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this poor puppy! Hang in there!!

Have you tried Rescue Remedy? Worked on my neurotic pup.

I was thinking of you when I was cleaning up poo from the living room (baby , not puppy this time). Hope you're doing well, Happy New Year.
