My apologies for my lack of posts lately. Things have been rather boring and repetitive around here, almost like a certain Bill Murray movie.

We're nearing the end of this deployment. The weeks are now in single digits. Unfortunately they seemed to have slowed to a crawl for me, despite the loss of a digit. January was long, probably in large part due to lack of an event or holiday to look forward to as there were in prior months. I hope February isn't quite as long.

My husband's communication abilities have greatly improved since he relocated, which has been quite nice. I very much enjoy hearing from him more frequently, though I've wondered if it's a bit of a double edged sword. I debate whether I miss him more now that we have a chance to get past the once weekly 'business update' part of the relationship. I'm able to chat with him as my friend and relationship partner instead of just as my husband. I wonder whether I miss him more now that I have that again versus trying to turn off the connection in between contact opportunities. I'm not complaining by any means, it just intrigues me.

For some reason my allergies are kicking my behind the past two days so I'm going to sign off here, but I hope you're all doing well. I'll try to get back into posting more frequently in the next few days.
