He: We're trying to stay 'out' as much as possible over the next few weeks.
He: Keeps morale up, and makes time go by faster.
For them, sure. 
I knew I shouldn't have gotten used to and/or come to rely on the increased contact over the past couple of weeks. Now I have to readjust all over again. The days are long. Times like this, I almost wish we had kids to fill the days ...

Don't get me wrong - children are great, but I think many women believe children will alleviate the loneliness, but when they're small, they just make more work and take away opportunities to go out and be social with other adults.
This sounds like such a lecture, and I don't mean it to be. Just popping in with an observation.
Time... it really messes with ya, doesn't it? Me too!

Oh and I don't remember you ever declaring this a "no whining" zone. Heck, we all need to vent somewhere!!
