Silver Lining: Reunion
I don't think there is much sweeter in this world than a reunion.
I remember looking at my friend as the buses pulled up and telling her I couldn't breathe. I could feel each beat as my heart pounded in my chest, making it hard to catch my breath. I watched the guys get off his bus one by one and suddenly, there he was. Our eyes met and we both grinned, nearly bursting with happiness. I thought the poor person in his way was going to eat some pavement, but he managed to squeak out an "Excuse me" and was finally there, in my arms. I felt as if I'd been holding my breath for months and could finally exhale as he held me. That first kiss was oh so sweet.
Reintegration wise, we've both marveled at how it seems as if he never really left. Well, aside from the house finally looking like people live here, anyway. ![]()
We were both so tired we decided to go cuddle in bed and watch some TV at around eight thirty. At a little after nine thirty I woke up as the credits to John Adams were rolling.
I puttered around on the 'net a bit, posted the pics, let the puppies outside one last time, and happily laid back down next to him to watch him sleep. When I finally fell asleep, I slept more deeply than I have in months, as I suspected I would. I feel so much more rested today. Waking up with a man in my bed this morning was especially nice. A little odd, but definitely nice.

Tell him welcome home from your bloggy buddies. And thank him for his service.

:yipeee:Yay! Congrats on having him home, on sleeping again, all of it!
Enjoy your "honeymoon!"
Oh, and tell hime "Welcome home!" from your imaginary friends!

Only 10 more months to go... Can I say I'm jealous?
Happy for you, most definitely!
But jealous, for sure...
