"They also serve who only stand and wait." - John Milton

Directionally impaired

I HATE not being wired to just have an innate sense of direction. I feel so lost on base post right now! :thud:

Had to take apart the dryer already, the movers thought it a good plan to drag our nice wood table up the blue back steps, and we're still swimming in boxes. Fun!

We're without 'net access until the 23 or so, but I'll try to pop in when I can! :whistle

I am feeling your pain darlin.....in a world where direction does not mean the same thing here that it does everywhere else....I get lost on a base that has two main roads because WHO does that? I'm used to large posts....and so I just stay away....

The box thing will diminish too.....keep your head up and enjoy being together....

:D

Oh my I feel you. I cannot find my way out of a paper bag at times, lol. Sadly my eleven year old has a better sense of direction than I.

Moving is hard too, and especially so when you're still trying to unpack. I remember thinking, "will this place ever feel like home?"

Good luck on getting things back to "normal". Keep your chin up!

I hate swimming in boxes, but it seems to never end... Hang in there, you will get settled soon...

If it wasn't for buildings being numbered (since they all look alike) I would never know where I am... I just follow numbers. Forget street names... every AF base I have been to loves using other bases/posts for their street names, so I have driven on two Luke Sts. at three bases... Talk about getting confused!

We were lucky with our internet, it was up and going before we moved into our apartment... Once we signed the papers for the apartment, we went over to the internet, phone, and cable shop and had it all hooked up... Since it took 5 days to set it up, and we couldn't move into the apartment until 8 days after we agreed to it, we walked in with everything ready...

I hear ya sister. I'm using the computer at the library as I speak. Stuck next to kids that don't understand that you are "supposed to be quiet" in a library. Argh! I won't have my own connection until the 23rd either...but that's NEXT month! Ug!
