We were in not exactly the same situation, but the same sort of idea. We could have done an overseas tour where DH wouldn't have deployed at all, or take another billet doing exactly what he does now, just somewhere else DH chose to take the sea billet. He asked my opinion but you know how it is. It's just one of those things.

Good luck with the househunting! We're doing that this weekend too.

Sarah, I actually made the drive and was house hunting most of last week. A few "I could live heres", a few "Hmm, maybes", a couple "Probably Nots" and a couple "Oh hell nos." The tenants in our house have expressed interest in buying it, so we're hoping that is indeed what happens. The property manager is a pain in the patootie to get hold of though, and I'm starting to worry. We're headed back over President's Day weekend, so hopefully some things will start to fall into place! DH graduates at the end of February, so we need to move by early March.
